By building partnerships with groups – from nonprofits to environmental groups – we lend a helping hand to thousands of people in our community. At Colorado Springs Utilities, we think that supporting programs in our community helps us be a better utility provider. Volunteerism Our Community Focus Fund is a community outreach program that provides financial support, used computer equipment, and employee volunteer hours to local educational and nonprofit organizations. In 2006, we supported many organizations through volunteerism and funding: - 807 volunteers
- 6,053 volunteer hours on 118 community projects
- 243 used computers donated to local schools and nonprofit organizations
