What: For a local single mother, the end of the rainbow doesn't mean a pot of gold, but a home of her own. More than 100 employees have spent 1,000 hours since August 2006 to build the home.

Denise Sulski is the media contact at the construction site, 5323 Danville Court (directions below). Call 668-3848 or 442-5487 for more information.

Springs Utilities employees recently set a company record for 12,000 volunteer hours in a single year, and received a national award from the American Public Power Association for volunteer efforts. In 2006, 690 employees, their families and friends volunteered for 120 community projects. More than 120 employees volunteered as board members at 125 community organizations for an additional 7,136 hours.
