Customer Service Residential Business Community Environment About Us

Beginning tomorrow (5/5) and continuing for the next three weekends, more than 270 Colorado Springs Utilities employees and their families will volunteer their time to 25 community projects in Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs and Pueblo. Volunteer efforts include packaging food for the hungry, building homes, working on trails and repairing homes for the elderly. The volunteer blitz is part of Springs Utilities 4th Annual GIVE day event.

Beyond the GIVE day event, Springs Utilities employees volunteer their time all year.  In 2006, 690 Springs Utilities employees, their families and friends volunteered for 120 community projects for a total of 12,000 volunteer hours, and earned the American Public Power Association’s Community Service Award. Additionally, Denise Sulski, community liaison for Springs Utilities, was named 2006 Pikes Peak United Way Volunteer of the Year. Under Sulski’s leadership, Springs Utilities employee volunteerism set new records in 2006.
