| Beginning Monday, Feb. 25, and continuing through Tuesday, Feb. 26, Colorado Springs Utilities is replacing a water main underneath a portion of Galley Road, just east of the intersection with Academy Boulevard. On Monday, both eastbound lanes on Galley Road, between Academy Boulevard and Potter Drive, will be closed to traffic. On Tuesday, eastbound and westbound traffic will be restricted to one through lane in each direction on the same portion of Galley Road. Business access will remain open during construction, however traffic delays are expected. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes whenever possible. While not expected, there is always a risk for intermittent and/or emergency interruptions in water service to area homes and businesses. Scheduled service interruptions will be communicated to customers 24 hours in advance.
