|  | Kathleen Hatten Chair
Kathleen Hatten has over 15 years of experience in local government and community service. As a senior project manager for the International City/County Management Association in Washington, D.C., she focused primarily on technology and utility issues. While staffing a local government consortium and editing a quarterly newsletter, Plug-In, she worked to help local governments address the challenges of electric utility restructuring and meet utility service delivery needs. In different positions with Douglas County, Colorado, including assistant county manager, she worked on numerous issues facing the high-growth community. Her duties included staffing the Douglas County Water Resource Authority, an entity dedicated to coalition-building to provide reliable long-term water solutions for county residents. Ms. Hatten also served as legislative deputy for a Los Angeles City Councilmember, where she addressed a wide range of topics, including community and economic development and public safety needs. Ms. Hatten has Master of Public Administration from Syracuse University and Bachelor of Arts from Occidental College. |  | Jim McCall Vice Chair
Jim McCall has more than 20 years of engineering and operations management experience. He has been with Current and Direct Checks, a large Colorado Springs Utilities industrial customer, for most of the last 15 years. Prior to that, McCall led major capital projects for Chevron, an integrated international energy concern. McCall served on Colorado Springs Utilities' Silver Source Control Committee as well as its task force for large customers. He supported the United Way campaign, most recently as a United Way Campaign Council member. He has been a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and is presently certified as a facilities manager as well as a project management professional. He earned a bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. |  | Thomas A. Arnold
In 2001 T.A. retired in Colorado Springs after serving as Director of the Idaho Dept. of Commerce. As Commerce Director, Arnold was responsible for developing and administering programs to advance the state's vitality through economic development, international trade, science and technology, community development, and tourism. Arnold served in the administrations of Governors Phil Batt and Dirk Kempthorne, now US Secretary of the Interior.
Before leaving Colorado in the 1990's to serve in Idaho government, Arnold was the Director of Planning and Development for Rio Grande Industries, a Denver-based holding company with several transportation subsidiaries, including the D&RGW Railroad. Arnold's economics background has focused on transportation; he earned a bachelor degree at the University of Florida and masters at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Membership Category: Community at Large |  | Janna Blanter Janna Blanter has more than 25 years of experience in finance, including Duke Energy and the Bank of Scotland. Ms. Blanter is Senior Vice President of UMB Bank Colorado Springs. Ms. Blanter has a Master of Business Administration, a Bachelor of Accountancy, a BBA in finance and has taught college courses in business ethics, finance and accounting. |  | Prince Dunn, II
Prince Dunn has held many demanding and responsible positions within the Department of Defense as a senior analyst, strategic planner and financial management specialist. He headed process improvement groups to realign corporate processes and better meet customer needs. He also developed a five-year plan to allow the CEO to forecast personnel, information technology and facility needs. In his present job, Dunn supports state and federal government agencies on Homeland Security and Homeland Defense matters. Dunn provided many contributions to the community while a member of Pikes Peak Area Council of Government Citizen Advisory Committee for three years. He gives back to the community by serving as a judge with the United States Figure Skating Association. He is also President of his homeowner's association. Dunn earned a bachelor degree in business administration from Shepherd College and a master in public administration from Boise State University. Steinke and Associates, a consulting firm specializing in power generation management and operation. Currently a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, he has also served on other utility association committees including Electric Power Research Institute and American Gas Association. Steinke received a degree in mechanical engineering from Steven's Institute of Technology and attended the Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School.
