We pursue contracts that achieve a balance of interest and offer the "best value" by developing solicitation evaluation criteria that measure factors beyond initial acquisition price.
We actively encourage small businesses - especially minority and women owned firms - to participate in our process. For more information or to register on the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System:
If you weren't able to attend the recent Business Opportunity Workshop, see the presentation slides (PDF) here.
Our key objective is to assist in managing cost while maximizing service and quality. We do this in part by examining and implementing value-added procurement services. Additionally, we use vendors, contractors and service providers who exhibit the most cost effective and advantageous financial, technical and staff capabilities.
We also strive to keep as much of our spending local as possible. We exceeded our goal of spending 30 percent locally in 2009.
