Photovoltaics

Bringing clean, renewable energy to our community is everyone's responsibility, and we want to help you do your part. Solar electric panels, or photovoltaics, convert the renewable energy of the sun into useful electricity that is pollution-free and avoids burning fossil fuels.

Our Renewable Energy Rebate for Photovoltaics supports and encourages the installation of solar PV generating systems at homes and businesses. Solar energy helps protect the environment, diversifies our energy supply, creates energy independence and reduces our summer peak capacity requirements.

Beginning January 2, 2012, business and residential customers are eligible for a $1.80 per watt rebate. Combined with federal tax credits for solar (30 percent of the system cost), the rebate makes PV an attractive energy solution. Depending on the installation, 40 to 60 percent of the total system cost could be covered by rebates and tax credits.

Solar thermal & wind

Rebates are available for residential and commercial solar thermal and wind through Recharge Colorado. Visit the Recharge Colorado website for information.
