| You can save 80 to 90 percent on energy costs, and save on labor costs as well. When you retrofit existing green and red incandescent traffic signal bulbs with ENERGY STAR® qualified Light Emitting Diode (LED) traffic signals, you will have a product that will last three to ten times longer and will help conserve energy at the same time. Since traffic signals operate 24 hours a day, there is a large opportunity for electricity savings. Business customers on the traffic signal rate are eligible for this rebate which is intended to help recover the cost of retrofitting traditional incandescent bulbs with green and red LED traffic signals. *The following types of LED signal modules (balls) will be rebated at the following rates: *Modules are standard 8 inch or 12 inch round traffic signal indications (balls). They consist of the LED light source and the lens. All LEDs must be ENERGY STAR rated. Yellow lights, pedestrian signals, installation costs, taxes, and delivery etc. will not be rebated. Entire traffic signal heads will not be rebated. Traffic signal head is the combination of the traffic signal housing with the modules (red, yellow, and green) installed in it.
