Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) is a program that allows you to pay your utilities bill automatically from your bank account. Payment is made each month on the date it is due.

Automated payment plans are growing at an ever increasing rate. They offer consumers a convenient method of making time-sensitive payments without the necessity of writing a check. Even if you are away, your utilities bill will be automatically paid.

Download, complete and return an EFT application form (PDF) to enroll in the program.

Please note that in order to complete your request, your application must include a voided check (checking account) or voided deposit slip (savings account).

Will I still receive a utilities bill?
Yes. You will still receive an itemized utilities bill indicating the EFT withdrawal amount.

How safe and reliable is EFT?
EFT is a safe, reliable way to pay your utilities bill. When you authorize EFT, you are giving us permission to withdraw the amount of each utilities bill from the bank account you designate. The withdrawals are done by your financial institution. Your monthly bank statement will inform you of the withdrawal each month.

What if my banking information changes?
Please notify us in writing of a change in banking information, including the date the change is effective. A voided check or deposit slip is required to activate your new account.

Do I need to send anything with my application?
Yes. In order to complete your request, your application must include a voided check (checking account) or voided deposit slip (savings account).

Can I remain on Budget Billing?
If you're a residential customer, yes. In fact, Budget Billing is recommended while on EFT because there will be a fixed amount withdrawn each month.

What is Budget Billing?
Budget Billing allows customers to pay the same amount on their utilities bill each month, which helps alleviate the effects of fluctuating energy prices by spreading the costs evenly throughout the year. This payment feature is particularly helpful for customers on fixed incomes.
