SUBMISSION POLICIES

 

Students wishing to submit their work to THE ADVENTURES OF DAKOTA SANDSTONE should turn their final draft into their teacher.  Though it will be a tough decision, the teacher should chose the top two works in the class and send them to the Christina King at cking@csu.org.

Teachers, please read the format guidelines below.

FORMAT

GENERAL:

All text and graphics must relate to natural gas issues.  Preference will be given to works pertaining to Colorado Springs natural gas issues.

The author or designer of the submitted work must be clearly identified by name, age, school, grade and supervising teacher. Only the student's first name, school name and grade will be released over the internet.

 

TEXT:

It is best to submit text by cutting it from the word processing file and pasting it into the e-mail message. Before submitting work, please read it carefully and correct any grammatical errors. When presenting work to be published online, submit it in a finished form. Text will only be accepted by e-mail.

 

GRAPHICS:

Graphics can be sent using the "attach" feature on e-mail. Graphics must be in gif or jpeg format. Please describe the graphics being sent and tell us what program was used to create it so that we have the best chance of bringing it into our computers. Please also make sure graphics are an appropriate size (10-50K) . Larger graphics will be posted as a thumbnail sketch and viewers will choose if they want to wait for it to load.  We reserve the right to resize the graphic if need to fit on the Dakota Sandstone site.

 


TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Our editors will review all work submitted and post it as time and space permit. The editors reserve the right to choose the works to be posted. All materials submitted become the property of the Colorado Springs Utilities Gas Department and will not be returned.

We will try to acknowledge receipt of work. Posting of submitted work will be at the discretion of the editors and their decision will be final.
