Follow the Blader to explore the pipelines,
pumping stations, and tanks which water might
encounter as it ventures onward
to the faucets of the citizens.
Once water is treated, the adventure begins anew.
Over one thousand and four hundred miles of pipeline
are required for the finished water to be delivered
to homes and businesses throughout the realm.

The Colorado Springs Finishing Fortress trusts
the distribution of water to
the magical force of gravity.
The system stretches about 11 miles from west to east
and 16.5 miles from north to south.
CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL
REPLACE WATER PIPE
Within the water service area, ground elevations
range
from about 7,800 feet in the Heights of Cedar
to 5,750 feet in the southern regions of the city.

BEAR CREEK STATION
Because of the wide range in the height of the ground,
there are five service levels
to support the needs of the citizens.
FORT CARSON METER AND REGULATOR AREA
Areas without the advantages of gravity can generally
be accommodated by pumped service.
Each lower service level can be fed through regulators
from the higher levels and from its own distribution storage tanks.
BRIARGATE STORAGE TANK
All treated water is accumulated in covered
reservoirs and tanks
which currently occupy 30 sites
with a combined capacity of 102.9 million gallons of water.
Perhaps you can identify a tank or reservoir in your region of
the realm.
THE WATER OPERATIONS CONTROL CENTER
The water distribution system is controlled by the
Knights
of the Finishing Fortress at the Water Operations Control Center
on Mesa Road.
