Our customers receive some of the most reliable electric service in the nation with power available more than 99.99 percent of the time.  As seen in the chart below, Colorado Springs ranked first out of fourteen large cities in System Average Interruption Duration Index, SAIDI. This means that the total outage duration for the average electric customer served by Colorado Springs Utilities was 42.30 minutes. (survey administered by Salt River Project)
