More than 2,500 of our vehicles – from cars to cargo trucks – are equipped to use alternative fuels, such as biodiesel and E85. We also use hybrid vehicles, including the Toyota Prius and the Ford Escape. In 2008, we added our first hybrid bucket truck.
Our fleet, which is managed under a partnership with the City of Colorado Springs, is consistently recognized as a leader among utilities and municipal governments nationwide.
