The Pikes Peak Multi-Use Plan was completed in 1999 in collaboration with Colorado Springs Utilities, partner agencies, citizens groups and interested public.
The PPMUP created a regional vision for accommodating recreational activity on municipal watersheds – primarily South Slope – while protecting natural and cultural resources for future generations.
The plan is a high-level conceptual view for recreation. It provides background for the effort currently taking place with the Watershed Access Plan.
The Watershed Access planning project is designed to build on the PPMUP – which was developed more than 10 years ago – by providing on-the-ground analysis and additional public review and input related to potential recreation activities on South Slope.
