Residential > Rebates > Solar Domestic Hot Water Rebate

Solar energy can be a reliable and efficient alternative source for heating your domestic hot water, providing up to 80 percent of your home’s annual water-heating needs. While conventional electric or natural gas water heating systems are still necessary as a supplement to the solar water heating system, it can save you money on your natural gas or electric bill and save the environment by using less fossil fuels.

Governor's Energy Office Residential Solar Program
We have partnered with the Governor's Energy Office and the Colorado Solar Energy Association to offer our customers a rebate on Solar Domestic Hot Water Systems.

You can receive up to a $2,000 rebate on approved solar domestic hot water heating systems installed after June 2, 2008 Installations must be performed by an installer that is licensed with the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department under the building contractor F-1 category. A list of licensed installers is located on the PPRBD Web site (under license type “Building” and category type “solar energy”).
