- The acquisition of materials, equipment, facilities, and systems maximizes the use of engineering design to prevent or control unacceptable risks.
- Life cycle safety considerations will be considered in the procurement, use and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials, so as not to endanger or compromise public health and safety or the environment.
