We currently maintain about 25,000 existing streetlights and install new lights within the City of Colorado Springs. The program is funded through the City's general fund. Developers pay for 100 percent of the capital costs for streetlights in new residential developments and 60 percent of the costs for streetlights on new arterial roadways. To report a broken or burned out streetlight, write down the nearest street address and call us at 448-4800. You may also call to request a streetlight in an existing neighborhood. |
