Protecting the environment
We operate one of the largest wastewater collection and treatment systems in Colorado regulated under a single state-issued permit. As part of our environmental stewardship, we are committed to improving our system and protecting area streams. In fact, our rate of sanitary sewer overflows is now significantly lower than most other wastewater systems.

See how we are "zapping" bacteria with ultraviolet light.

How wastewater bill amounts are determined
Wastewater is a non-metered service, and therefore, there is no exact way of determining how much wastewater goes down drains and toilets for individual customers. Like most utilities, we calculate your wastewater bill using a consistent method for all residential customers. Wastewater flows are calculated based on metered fresh water usage and a winter period average.
