Recognized with Platinum level HIRE Vets Medallion Award

Author: Eric  by  Eric  on  11/13/2018

HIRE Vets Medallion ProgramThere has been a strong military presence in Colorado Springs for many years, and we're proud to serve those who serve our country. Doing right by our military, though, means more than simply providing safe, reliable utility service. It also means a commitment to hiring and retaining veterans in our workforce.

Our efforts have not gone unnoticed as we were recently honored by the U.S. Department of Labor as a 2018 HIRE Vets Medallion Program Demonstration Award winner. Recipients of the award demonstrated a commitment to veteran hiring and retention, and provided veteran-specific resources, leadership programming, dedicated human resources, and compensation and tuition assistance programs. We earned a Platinum award for large employers.

We're thrilled to join 239 award recipients ranging from small businesses and community-based non-profits to leading Fortune 500 companies from 42 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.

The HIRE Vets Medallion Program is the only federal-level award that recognizes job creators who successfully recruit, hire and retain America's veterans. For more information about the program, please visit www.HireVets.gov.

We’re proud to be recognized with this award and hope the entire community shares in our excitement.
