Public invited to open house regarding North Union Boulevard

​Utility and resurfacing work scheduled to begin January 2020

North Union Blvd. construction mapWe need to replace an aging water line under Union Boulevard to enhance reliability of the water system and prepare for the City’s 2C curb/gutter replacement and road paving.

An open house is planned from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17 at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 5265 N. Union Blvd. Area residents and members of the media are invited to come to the open house and learn more about this important project. Project managers and experts will be on hand to answer questions.

Starting in early January through the fall of 2020 construction activities will occur on N. Union Boulevard between Academy Boulevard and Woodmen Road (see map).

Traffic and access will be restricted during this time, so please abide by posted construction signs. Access to residential driveways will be available during construction.

Residents are encouraged to stay up-to-date on traffic impacts along their commute by visiting the construction website at www.coloradosprings.gov/unionconstruction. Residents can also use Waze, a crowd-sourced mobile traffic application that relays construction inputs from the City.
