The Community Focus Fund (CFF) program charter established that the Fund may provide donations to approved organizations to recognize the contributions of employee volunteers.
The Utilities Board directed all CFF grants to focus on Affordable Housing beginning in 2019.
Grant applications are due by 5 p.m., January 10, 2020. Community Focus Fund grant requests are considered only through the online application.
All 2020 funding will support affordable housing, transitional housing or shelter facilities’ utilities-centric projects and programs. Possible types of projects include:
- Energy or water efficiency improvements or upgrades.
- Programs that help lower the cost of utilities for residents.
- Water and wastewater development charges (tap fees) for new affordable, transitional or shelter facility construction.
Grant requests will be reviewed in February and applicants will be notified in March.
