Electric time of use rate

Electric time of use rate

If you are a commercial customer whose average daily use in the last 12 billing periods is less than 1,000 kWh, you may be able to save money on your electric bill with our time of use rate option.

Time of use rates are based on the time in which you use electricity. Similar to peak pricing used for air travel, cell phone, hotel stays, etc. time of use electric rates mean that you pay lower rates during periods of low demand (i.e. off-peak) and higher rates during periods of maximum demand (i.e. on-peak).

Our on-peak hours are Monday through Friday and vary by season.

  • April through September: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • October through March: 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Off-peak hours are all other times as well as the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

For more information on our commercial time of use option please see our Electric Tariffs.
