More than 100 Colorado Springs Utilities employees will wake up during the wee hours of the morning on Saturday, Aug. 5 to help bring smiles and joy to local children from working poor families.

More than 15 percent of children in El Paso County live in poverty. Each year Colorado Springs Utilities employees come together to give back to the local community by helping some of the county’s poorest kids get the clothes they need for the beginning of the new school year. Employees will help the children shop for the items they need the most and get the most with the $!00 that is allocated for each child.
