What is an establishment permit?
An establishment permit will allow customers to water more frequently than three days per week and to water during the day when overhead sprinklers are normally not allowed. The permit will be valid for four to six weeks.

You do not need a permit if you plan to water with drip irrigation, watering cans or hose with a shut-off nozzle.

What do I need to apply?

Read the establishment permit overview.

Sod or non-native grass seed: proof of soil preparation is required.

Native grass projects or flowers, shrubs or trees: soil preparation is not required.

Who can apply?
Residential or commercial customers who need to water more frequently than three days per week with overhead sprinklers to establish new grass sod, seed or landscape plants can apply for an establishment permit.

There is no application fee.
