1st - 6th grade students
We offer a presentation on raptors that features taxidermy birds of prey species and a discussion about raptor protection efforts on power lines. Our presentation covers such topics as raptor characteristics, adaptations, identification, natural history, basic biology and the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. This engaging presentation offers students the opportunity to touch a raptor's talons and wings.
The program is approximately 45 minutes with a minimum class size of 15 and a maximum of 60. The presentation requires a six-foot table for the bird display. The Raptor Protection program has limited availability and is scheduled first-come, first-served.
