Aram Benyamin, P.E.
Chief Executive Officer
Aram Benyamin joined Colorado Springs Utilities in 2015 as the general manager of energy supply and was named CEO in October of 2018. Prior to joining Colorado Springs Utilities, Benyamin was the Senior Assistant General Manager, head of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power’s (LADWP) power system, the nation’s largest municipal utility. At LADWP, Benyamin was responsible for 4,000 employees with an annual budget of $3.9 billion, serving more than four million residents of Los Angeles.
Benyamin is a Professional Engineer with a bachelor’s of science degree in engineering from California State University, Los Angeles. He also has a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from the University of La Verne and a master’s degree in public of administration (MPA) from California State University, Northridge.
