Water heating is the second or third largest energy use in homes and businesses.
- If your water heater is more than 10 years old, consider replacing it with an ENERGY STAR® model for better insulation and efficiency.
- ENERGY STAR® boilers are ~8% more efficient than the federal standard.
- Heat pump water heaters are about twice as efficient as standard high-efficiency electric models, offering even greater savings.
