 Commercial lighting rebate

 

As a business owner, you look for investments with short payback periods and attractive rates of return. Our energy-efficient lighting rebate can help you get the most out of your investment, including:

Commercial lighting

Replace older lighting technologies with newer, more efficient fixtures or bulbs and receive a rebate. The rebate amount is based on the energy saved as determined by the pre- and post-inspections of the project. An estimate of the rebate amount can be found using the lighting data worksheet.

Eligibility requirements:

  1. The installation address must have Colorado Springs Utilities commercial electric service.
  2. Projects with over 30 fixtures require a pre- and post-inspection.
  3. Final invoices/receipts must be submitted in the calendar year they are paid.

Steps to receive rebate:

  1. Download and complete the lighting rebate application.
  2. Digitally sign the rebate application.
  3. Download and complete the lighting data worksheet.
  4. Save the application and worksheet to your computer in the original file and email to rswope@csu.org.
  5. The customer name must appear in the email subject line.
  6. Submit paid invoices/receipts with application. These must include date of purchase, material costs, labor costs, quantity, manufacturer, model #, and complete description of lighting purchased. Final invoices/receipts with a zero balance or marked “paid” or financing agreements with a clearly indicated total cost and payment schedule must be submitted in the calendar year they are paid.
  7. Note: In the case of a sole proprietorships, state law requires the submission of a valid photo ID with the application.

 

Occupancy sensors

The occupancy sensor rebate is rolled into the lighting rebate.

Eligibility requirements:

  1. The installation address must have Colorado Springs Utilities commercial electric service.

  2. Digitally sign the rebate application.
  3. Download and complete the occupancy sensor worksheet.
  4. Save the application and worksheet to your computer in the original file and email to rswope@csu.org.
