Maidenhair Tree

Maidenhair tree is a deciduous tree native to China with smooth white bark. The clusters of bright green leaves are a unique fan-shape that turn brilliant yellow in fall.

Although interesting, maidenhair tree is not that well adapted to the cold and exposure of Colorado Springs. It grows very slowly in our climate. It serves more as a "collector's item" than a vigorous shade tree.
