Peking Cotoneaster

Peking cotoneaster is a dense, medium-sized shrub. It has glossy, small green leaves. In spring, small, pinkish-white flowers appear.

Later in the summer, the flowers turn into beautiful glossy black fruit, which persist into winter. On the inside, the berries are white and mealy (not edible).

Although its appearance is not that remarkable, it is a very dependable, low-maintenance option guaranteed to grow well in the Colorado Springs area.
