Sea Thrift
Thrift is a small, mounding plant with six-inch tall, grasslike leaves. In early summer, tiny pink blooms emerge from round clusters on stalks waving above the green foliage. Thrift will bloom off and on through September if spent blooms are removed.
Thrift performs best in a sunny, well-drained location in the front of a flower bed, along the edge of a pathway, or in a rock garden. Although this plant is relatively short-lived (3-5 years), it will perform well if deer are not a problem.
