Peak Innovation Park
Alongside the City of Colorado Springs, we signed an Executive Agreement that outlines a shared commitment to fund and build critical utility infrastructure - electric, water, wastewater, and natural gas - to support the Airport and Peak Innovation Park.
The infrastructure plan includes investments in substation equipment and large-scale transformers to support up to 600 megawatts of electric capacity.

Kelker Substation Expansion
The Kelker Substation Expansion Project almost doubles the substation's size to accommodate growing energy demands in southeast Colorado Springs.

Natural Gas Expansion Project
This project supports our existing and future natural gas generators, with the infrastructure needed to run them safely at any given time and temperature. This ensures we can provide the fuel necessary during extreme weather.

Austin Bluffs water system improvements
We are replacing a 64-year-old water tank with a new one and installing a new large 36-inch water main. That new main will connect to our water distribution system at Union Boulevard and Montebello Drive.

Distribution Integrity Management Program
From now through 2035, we will accelerate the replacement of our aging bare steel and uncoated steel pipelines with newer, safer materials.
Water Pressure Zone Project
Work is underway to improve water pressure on the west side of the city near Garden of the Gods Park.
This project will increase water pressure to customers, fire hydrants and will prepare our water system for future upgrades.

Galley Road Water Main Improvement Project
We are installing more than 4,400 feet of water main to improve water quality and enhance reliability in that area.
Star Ranch Pump Station
The new Star Ranch Pump Station will replace the Lower Skyway Pump Station, which was built nearly 80 years ago. When complete, it will increase the reliability of our water supply for fire protection, improve water quality and reduce the risk of water outages.
Mason Reservoir Dam Repairs
Mason Reservoir in the South Slope Recreation Area of Pikes Peak is closed for repairs.
Electrical cable rejuvenation program
Cable injection extends the life of our underground electric cables, reduces outages and improves reliability of the underground system.
Sustainable Energy Plan
The Flying Horse Substation received new equipment to support power from present and future renewable energy sources.
