We are working to maintain and improve critical infrastructure to meet state regulations and ensure our city is prepared to meet future demands.
In November 2024, City Council approved the five-year rate case, which supports our five-year financial plan. The five-year rate case is a long term plan to build and maintain critical utilities infrastructure in Colorado Springs.
Through these important projects, we are building the future together.
Once finished, the Williams Creek Generating Station will use natural gas to produce 400 megawatts (MW) of power to meet our community's evolving energy needs. The Williams Creek site is located southeast of Fountain in unincorporated El Paso County.










We are replacing a 64-year-old water tank with a new one and installing a new large 36-inch water main. That new main will connect to our water distribution system at Union Boulevard and Montebello Drive.
