The Central Bluffs Substation project combines two substations and a switch station into one modern facility. This project improves our electric grid, making it more adaptable and efficient as our needs change.

Project timeline
✔ December 2025: Pour foundations for transformers and equipment.
✔ January 2026: Install new transformer and switchgears.
✔ January-March 2026: Finalize site grading and install grounding grid
✔ April 2026: Begin installing the perimeter wall and conduits
✔ May-July 2026: Install steel, switches, insulators, cable trenches and control building
• August-September 2026: Install breakers
• October 2026: Install busbars and control cables
• November 2026: Install jumpers and complete perimeter wall
• December 2026: Test and commission substation equipment
• January 2027: Install new transmission poles and transmission cables
• February 2027: Energize new substation and begin restoration work
• March-April 2027: Complete site cleanup, restoration and vegetation/landscaping
