Completed project

Star Ranch Pump Station

The Star Ranch Pump Station is now complete and serving customers. The new facility improves the reliability of water supply for fire protection, enhances water quality and reduces the risk of water outages.

We worked closely with nearby neighborhoods when we designed the new building. The stucco and stone structure looks like a home, helping it blend in with the surrounding neighborhood.

It is now a critical piece of our water system, providing drinking water to about 12,000 customers in the Cheyenne Pressure Zone.

✔ 2nd quarter of 2025: Site work & foundation complete.
✔ 3rd/4th quarter of 2025: Building construction begins.
✔ 2nd quarter of 2026: Commissioning/startup. Landscaping work underway.
✔ Summer 2026: Project complete.

The new structure replaces the Lower Skyway Pump Station, which was constructed in 1948. The property for the new pump station was purchased in 1979 with the explicit intention of constructing a water pump station, as required by the property deed.
