Upgrading insulation costs around $3,000–$5,000, but can cut heating and cooling bills by up to 15%, especially in older homes—making it a smart, cost-effective investment.
Receipts must clearly identify approved equipment and must include:
- Date of purchase
- Purchase price
- Make/model
- Quantity purchased
Your rebate application must be complete and must include an itemized copy of your receipt.
Rebate application must be postmarked no later than Jan. 31 of the following year to qualify for a rebate.
Rebate amount
Get 40% back (up to $3,750) on insulation installation costs through our rebate for electric or natural gas customers. Up to $1,250 each for attic, wall, and crawl space insulation. Credits are applied to future utility bills.
Rebate process
- Work must be performed by a Colorado contractor.
- Insulation R-value must meet the U.S. Department of Energy recommended ratings: Crawl space - R15 CI. Attic – R49 – and exterior wall – R13. Attic insulation must include bypass air sealing.
- Keep a receipt of the work that includes the contractor information, product details, cost and payment.
