Our Sustainable Energy Plan includes several projects and programs to reduce carbon emissions from our operations, manage your long-term costs and maintain our industry-leading reliability.

Sustainable Energy Plan projects and programs are not just focused on growth. Instead, they are intended to provide you with access to reliable, safe and cleaner energy as technology inside your homes and businesses evolves and your needs change.

Through our Sustainable Energy Plan, we will:

  • Protect local air quality through an ongoing investment in low-emission natural gas-based electric generation and the careful addition of more renewable energy resources.

Air quality and emissions reduction

Our emissions from generating electricity are already lower today than ever before.

For decades we have worked with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and other stakeholders to improve our air quality and comply with regulations.

We are committed to continuing to implement new technologies aimed at reducing our emissions.
